2. STUNNING NATURE EXPLORATIONS AT HIIUMAA ISLAND

Hiiumaa Island is the second largest island in Estonia, and is known for its romantic lighthouses, beautiful unspoiled nature, Hill of Crosses and a good sense of humor of its inhabitants. This romantic island is one of the oldest in the world and perfect to be explored with your rental camper. This is a place that spoils you with options to do and experience. You can enjoy the nature, go sailing or just relax in a postcard-like scenery. During the main rental season in summer, there are a lot of local music festivals so if you would like to get into the local culture open the calendar and see which local events fit to your travel time. Must-see sites and perfect places for iconic photographs, are the lighthouses Kopu, Ristna and Tahkuna. For a touch of history, visit the Hill of Crosses that stands for those Estonia-Swedish people, who had to leave this beautiful island behind in its early days.

4. IMPRESSIVE MOTORHOME TRAVEL TRIP TO SAAREMAA ISLAND

Saaremaa Island is the largest in Estonia. This island has one of the most impressive gems of all the Baltics, especially if you´re interested in impressive structures and history. This one of a kind gem is located in the town of Kuressaare, the only town on the island. It’s a beautiful, well-restored castle, which is the only preserved castle from the Middle Ages within the Baltic area.

The island itself is all about thatched roofs, stone fences, homemade beer and still functional windmills, which are the landmarks for Saaremaa. Saaremaa is also the perfect location for bird watching. The marine climate of the island creates a perfect setting for rich vegetation and fauna, thus it is a perfect spot for the hundreds of migratory birds using Saaremaa as their pitstop. Including Viidumäe's protectorate area and Vilsand's nature park, there are over 200 protected nature sites within the island.

5. SMITH WORKS AND ACTIVITY OPTIONS AT RAKVERE CASTLE

Your camper rental holiday in Estonia must include a visit to an exciting Rakvere Castle. This Middle Ages’ castle offers excitement and fun for the whole family, and is definitely worth a stop on your Estonian camper adventure. Visit to Rakvere castle is not only about history but some honest action, too. You can try archery and shooting, as well as fighting with spears and swords! If fighting is not your thing, try smith works and make your own coin with the Rakvere Castle emblem. One of the many activity options is to participate in a workshop where you learn how to make pottery like in the old times. The whole site is like travelling in time back to the Middle Ages. Just walk around and check out the street of red lamps, brothels and barber shops. Inside the castle itself, you can wander into the torture chamber and castle cellar where they, if you dare, let you try Middle Age wines.

6. THE HOME OF HISTORY, ART AND COZY CAFE BARS - TALLINN OLD TOWN

As a final stop on your camper rental adventure in Estonia, we recommend spending some time in the Tallinn area. The old town of Tallinn is an exceptionally complete and well-preserved example of Northern European cities from the 13th to 16th century. The beautiful, medieval old town, with its narrow cobblestone streets, churches, monasteries, and tens of design shops, restaurants and cafe's is the perfect milieu for a wonderful day out. Tallinn's old town is pretty much shopping and culture in one package

7. NATURE AND WILDLIFE OF ESTONIA

Vast forests and rare species decorate the Estonian territories and landmarks. Birds are special to the country and, so far, this is the best country for such outdoor activity. Numerous bird-watching spots are located across the country to mesmerize or capture one of the rarest species alive surrounded in their natural habitat. Easy access to all-natural reserves and outstanding peak locations are greatly offered for our motorhome travelers. Pack your lenses and join a shortguided tour near the Pikla ponds or escape to Põõsaspea cape to spot the owls!

BEST BIRD-WATCHING PLACES TO CAPTURE THE BIRDS

Thanks to Estonia's position on the East Atlantic Flyway, the country is a part of one of the world's largest migratory routes for birds travelling between North America, Europe and Africa, and bird watching spots can be found across the country. Matsalu national park on the western coast, with its large bay, is one of the key stopping points for migratory birds. The Nõva nature reserve on the northwestern coastline is a prime area, including the Põõsaspea cape where many birds come to land. The meadows near lakes Peipsi and Võrtsjärv in the south are also good locations.
